In addition to our extensive foundation repair services, we also offer a variety of services based around concrete repair and replacement. This means if you've got an aging or crumbling concrete wall or foundation, we can help repair and restore it and even make it stronger than it was before. Our concrete services are not limited to foundation walls, we can help you repair any concrete surface including driveways, garage floors, basement floors, patios, sidewalks, or any location around your home.
When concrete has been damaged, it may seem as though the best approach is to remove and replace the concrete but we know this is not the case. We utilize methods and products to not only repair broken, crumbling concrete walls and floors, but to strengthen them and prevent future damage.
When there are cracks in the foundation or basement walls, it is important to have them properly investigated by a professional to determine what type of repair should be implemented to correct the underlying cause and keep the cracks from growing or spreading. The most common causes of cracks in poured concrete walls are environmental. Freezing and thawing soil expands and contracts, putting pressure on the walls. Tree roots can grow against the walls and press on them. If these cracks get to be bad enough, they can cause leaks in your home.
As part of our concrete crack repair process, we can utilize carbon fiber products to strengthen the existing walls and prevent the cracks from growing over time. Carbon fiber is one of the strongest products that can be applied to these cracks and when properly applied by one of our experts, we can ensure the basement or foundation cracks that exist will not be causing any future damage to your home.
Shotcrete is a special process of using a specific concrete mixture, sprayed through a nozzle, onto damaged or broken concrete surfaces. The process is used to quickly apply a high strength concrete in both vertical and horizontal locations to allow us to repair almost any location. When using shotcrete, we are able to both repair and strengthen existing walls. During the application process, the concrete is both placed and compacted at the same time, which greatly speeds up the process as well as adding strength. The best thing about using shotcrete is that it takes less time, is more cost effective, causes less disruption, and is up to four times stronger than traditional concrete.
While we are able to provide expert foundation repair services that 99% of problems we encounter will require, there are times when the damage to a foundation is too extensive to allow us to repair using a piering system or the shotcrete method. When this happens, we may recommend a total foundation replacement. Typically a foundation rebuild or replacement are only used when it is the only available option to ensure the stability and logevity of the home. This is generally only necessary with older homes where the foundations were improperly built or if there has been a bowing wall that became too serious before we were brought in.
In order to do this, we will lift and support your home using temporary walls. We will then make sure the ground is able to support your foundation completely and correctly before we pour or construct a new foundation. Once the new foundation has cured, we will lower the home onto the new foundation and you can rest assured knowing your new foundation will be able to stand the test of time.
